Theology to Doxology

The hero-worship continues…

Sorry for sounding like such a groupie, but what a night of music. Hearing Phil Webb, the Master’s Chorale, and now John MacArthur sing a duet with his son-n-law, Korey Welch. It was too much to handle.

I was ministered to by all the singing, especially from, yes John MacArthur sing “It is Well with my Soul.” What I can’t get over is you sit there listening to him preach, handling the word with such precision and exactness, piecing it all together with the theological harmony of the Scriptures. Its both encouraging and amazing all at the same time, you almost laugh at how gifted a man he is. And to top it off, the guy sings to you!

Hearing him minister to all 3000 men though song was exactly as JI Packer said in his book, God has Spoken, in which he aptly states: “Theology should make you sing. If it doesn’t its a useless theology.” Amen.
