ZabaSearch: Get a free background check on ANYONE

Last Friday a co-worker sent this to our entire engineering group, warning us about a new site that offers free “background checks” on anybody. It’s called ZabaSearch (http://zabasearch.com).

Actually the background check is past history information such as, historical address information, birthdate, and phone-number. All the required information for a stalker to find out about you, but not enough to find out if you were involved in any misdemeanors or felonies.

Try and see for yourself how Zaba has managed to take your private records and provide the public easy access to them.

According to their site, you can be removed however, the details are pretty vague:

ZabaSearch says people can have their info removed from the company’s database by e-mailing their name, birth date, address and phone number to info@zabasearch.com.

However, the company also says in its terms and conditions that it “does not guarantee that the information will not be available again in the future from other sources or ZabaSearch itself,” thus making the opt-out process virtually meaningless.
