Logos Bible software for the Mac

Logos Bible Software for the Macintosh

That’s right…a version of Logos Bible Software that is native to Mac OS X. Immediate access to thousands of Bible reference titles never before available for the Macintosh. The advanced automation and convenient reports that Logos users have come to love. No more emulators, no more guilt over your flirtation with the PC.

The truth is, we have always been a little jealous of Mac users. (Please don’t tell Bill.) The Mac design aesthetic, cool bundled apps, the stability and security of the platform all made us a touch green. That’s why we are just as excited as you are about developing Logos for the Mac. We can’t wait to show it off.

The timing couldn’t be more perfect. Recently, I’ve been thinking about getting a mac.. Actually ever since I sold my old powerbook “pismo” g3 400Mhz laptop almost 2 years ago on eBay. Yes, I was a Mac owner once but decided to sell it since it was too slow for what I needed to do.. mainly video editing, programming, and bible study.

So after taking a careful inventory of all that I have on my PC, the only remaining software that I used which wasn’t available on the Mac was my bible software e-Sword. Much credit must go to e-Sword, a free software program that does an amazing job in doing quick research and word-study lookups. Rick Meyers, the author of e-Sword, has done a wonderful job in writing this free bible program.

However, I have tried the Logos Libronix system on my PC and it works really well offering a far more comphrensive library than e-Sword. My current Libronix Library is the John MacArthur Lifeworks library which gives you a small glimpse of what the Libronix system is capable of doing. The Logos team offers an online demo of how the Logos program works.

With the announcement of the Logos Libronix system now available on the Mac, I may just take the plunge and go back to the Apple as my primary platform for study. Will let you know in about a month what decision I’ve made.
