Picking up where I left off

I’ve been getting reminders in my inbox of domains that I own which are about to expire. It was a sad reminder of how I’ve neglected this blog and my past commitment to keep writing. I wish I was disciplined as Tim Challies, who is really the Net’s uber blogger, never missing a day of writing for the past 4 years!

There has been much going on in the Lacson household – in particular our household has moved out of the Bay Area. We are now in Sacramento enjoying God’s blessing of being in an area that is closer to family, closer to church, and in a home that can accommodate our growing family. While much can be said about the transition, I’ll keep this post brief and offer my top 10 major adjustments to the 916:

10) Go ahead kids, make as much noise as you want there’s nobody upstairs, downstairs, or next to us!

9) Where’s Trader joes?

Where’s Costco? Oh there’s Sam’s Club which is a wannabe Costco but owned by the evil Walmart empire even copying Costco’s $1.50 for a sausage-dog and bottomless soda.

7) Where’s all the Indian restaurants?

6) Where’s all the Indian people?

5) Carmel/Monterey is how far? 4 hours?!

2) How hot are the summers here?

1) I have to pay how much for flood insurance?!
