On July 14th, 2007 the Contest of Champions will commence. I believe this is their 5th tournament and the goal is to raise money for Summer Camp staff and high school students. Here’s a blurb from their site:
The Contest of Champions is an annual 4-on-4 grass volleyball Tournament, as well as a summer camp fundraiser for the youth ministry staff of Community Bible Church from Vallejo, California. We offer 2 competitive divisions: recreational and competitive. You can choose which playing level best suits you and your team. Participants in the all day competition are not only battling it out for the grand prize, but they are also automatically entered into the contest’s hourly raffles. So, whether you play competitively or just want to hang out for the day, we invite you to this year’s Contest of Champions.
I may or participate in this event but this body hasn’t jumped higher than 12 inches for several years now. One of three things must happen before I play:
a) they must lower the net
b) they must change the rules
c) i will bring lots of ibuprofen
