One of our family traditions is to get our tree the day after thanksgiving. This year we opted to go cut a tree down from a tree farm in Placerville. Typically we head down to Home Depot or the local lot where we get our 3′ table top trees. This year I wanted to get something a little bit bigger than a table top. So we found this place that offered a flat rate for any size. Yes any size! So we spent a good hour searching for that perfect tree and I of course went over the top. I had to saw a good 2 feet off the top of this behemoth tree so it would have room for the star we planned for the top.
Of all the holidays in the year, Christmas remains our favorite and look forward to establishing traditions and memories. Here’s one memory that we won’t soon forget.
