Baby Amelie
It’s been a few days and we’re slowly adjusting to being a family of 6.  Amelie is doing everything right, atleast from what we remember: eating, pooping, peeing, crying, rinse and repeat.  However adjusting our family schedule has been a bit challenging.  I’m off of work and realize how much my wife does to keep our house in order.  She’s an amazing woman!  Lisa suffered briefly from a cold but is on the upswing.  The kids are fighting over who can hold her while Roman is the only one who wishes he can poke her eye or jump on her.

Baby Carvin 850T
Well I haven’t mentioned anything about my other baby which I recently received.  More to come on this.

John Piper’s new college and Seminary
Bethlehem Baptist Church has begun their college and seminary project.  Piper explains his vision here.

Not working
I’m really enjoying being at home and not having to worry about work.  I took a peek at my inbox and saw 200 unread messages.  Ahh.. 7 more days before I go back to that mess.  Even though I’m not working finding a contiguous block of time is still challenging.

Obama Anthem
In case you haven’t heard, the new Obama Anthem has been finalized.

Politics
The polls are clearly showing Obama to be our next president.  Knowing Obama’s anti-Israel, pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage views many Christians are assuring themselves that if Obama wins — God is still on His Throne.  And my first response is, “Amen.”

However my other response to those well meaning Christians is this: Won’t God still be on His throne if McCain wins?  To suggest or imply that God is on the side of McCain is not warranted.  God rules the hearts of Kings “like channels of water and turns it wherever he wishes” (Prov 21:1)  It doesn’t say good or bad Kings, liberal kings or conservative kings, all kings are in the hand of the LORD!

That a boy Patrick…almost back to yourself with the blogging. Don’t ever go back to work. There must be a way for you to become a professional blogger. Can you do an intership for Tim Challies or something? Start writing a book and have someone important endorse it. Oh..by the way, did you that Grace To You is releasing the Johnny Mac Sermon archives Nov. 5th? Post that. I think the Desiring God guys finally got to them and made them feel bad.
