Sharing the Gospel in different situations

A few months ago I was conversing with a Catholic friend about how do you give the hope of salvation, the message of God’s Good News (e.g. The Gospel) to a person who is on their death bed. Similarly how does that message differ if at all when sharing with a person NOT on their death bed. Interestingly enough my friend gave two means of salvation for each scenario.
